Tara Nowakhtar

Dr. Tara Nowakhtar is a board-certified OB/GYN who blends compassion with evidence-based care to women navigating menopause and perimenopause. After years of practicing full-scope obstetrics and gynecology, she shifted her focus to mid-life women’s health to fill a noticeable gap in care for patients looking to feel like themselves again. A native Angeleno, Dr. Nowakhtar earned her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley in Molecular Environmental Biology, with an emphasis in Human and Environmental Health. She completed her medical training at Nova Southeastern University in Florida, followed by residency training in Michigan at a Michigan State University-affiliated community hospital. In 2018, she returned home to Los Angeles, where she became board certified in 2021. Today, she leads an independent practice where personalized care isn’t the exception, it’s the standard. She is proud to be part of a growing community of forward-thinking physicians redefining how we talk about and treat menopause.
