Dr. Sam Mekrut is a board-certified family physician, a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), and the founder of Meristem Family Medicine, a direct primary care practice in Massachusetts. Her passion for women’s health grew from years of caring for women across the lifespan in community health centers, where she saw firsthand how fragmented systems and time-limited visits often fail to meet women’s complex and evolving needs—particularly during pregnancy, the postpartum period, and midlife. Through her work in direct primary care, Dr. Mekrut offers patients more time, better access, and personalized care designed to support women’s health across every stage of life.
