About

Jill Hart

I am Jill Hart. I have been working in the medical field in the Treasure Valley since age 19, initially as an Emergency Medical Technician. I graduated from an associate nursing program at Treasure Valley Community College in 1995 and worked as an emergency room nurse until 2015. Throughout those years, I achieve certification as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Boise State University. In 2014, I completed a master’s degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner program from University of Cincinnati in 2014. After working several years as a provider in the emergency department, urgent care, and behavioral health settings, I opened my own practice - Lifestyle Health and Wellness. During my years as a nurse and nurse practitioner, I have developed a passion for “complete wellness”. I do not want to only treat illness; I want to prevent it. The foundation of my practice incorporates the evidence-based, therapeutic lifestyle interventions ~ whole-food, plant predominant diet, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances, and positive social connections ~ as prevention and primary treatment for chronic conditions. After years of hearing my patient's tell me their hormonal symptoms were passed off as "normal" by healthcare providers and actually experiencing that treatment myself, I chose to pursue further understanding in the pathophysiology and management of hormones in both women and men so that I may better serve them. Currently, I am seeing patients for physical and mental health and wellness concerns.
