About

Helen Stearns, DNP, MSCP

After many years’ experience providing care as a Registered Nurse in hospitals and various other medical settings, I graduated from the University of San Diego with my Doctorate in Nursing Practice, & dual-board certified in Adult/Gerontology and Family Practice Primary Care. I began my nurse practitioner career at a world-renowned sexual medicine clinic, which ignited my passion for treating women’s sexual and hormonal conditions. I encountered women of all ages who had spent years searching for answers and help, often feeling dismissed by medical providers. Long before it became a trending topic, I learned about the safety and effectiveness of hormone therapy for menopausal symptoms. For the first time, I gained knowledge about vaginal and sexual disorders and pain that could be effectively, and sometimes easily, treated. This experience fueled a fire in me that has only grown brighter over the last several years as I practiced as a geriatric primary care provider. My own perimenopausal journey has been interesting. I became pregnant and gave birth to my beautiful, amazing daughter while in my 40s. This meant navigating not only perimenopausal symptoms but also pregnancy changes, postpartum hormones, and breastfeeding challenges. This personal experience led me to dive even deeper into the data on hormone fluctuations and what was happening within my own body. Additionally, I began hearing firsthand from my friends and co-workers about the struggles and changes they were experiencing during perimenopause and menopause. I started this practice out of a deep passion to empower women to live WHOLE and THRIVE. Honestly, I never envisioned owning my own practice or being a business owner. But now? It feels absolutely right – like I am exactly where I am supposed to be. I am incredibly eager to educate and enable women, providing the highest level of care and information so they can experience the best quality of life in their relationships, their bodies, their minds and hearts, their workplaces, and their homes. My dream is for each of us to share with our mothers, our sisters, our daughters, our best friends, the power we have within ourselves to create positive change, both personally and in the world around us.
