About

Bethany Parsell MSN

I was struggling with how to maintain my identity as a nurse practitioner, honor the nursing profession, and stay committed to patient wellbeing within a broken model of health care that wasn’t working for patients or clinicians. I recognized that sexual wellbeing for men and women is a fundamental part of overall health and wellbeing but unfortunately is not addressed or mismanaged in our current healthcare system. I realized that the sexual health needs of my patients could not be fully met in my current urology practice, so I created Intima Wellbeing as a space where sexual wellbeing can be achieved and celebrated. Sexual wellbeing includes physical, psychological, sociocultural, and interpersonal sexual health needs while empowering sexual self-determination. My combined training as a urology nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner with extensive training in sexual medicine, hormone therapy, and pelvic floor therapy enables me to help patients with every aspect of their concerns. I am passionate about offering the most advanced treatment options to patients, striving to optimize their wellbeing by taking a holistic approach that encompasses both conventional and cutting-edge treatments. I am dedicated to changing how we approach sexual healthcare for men and women removing barriers and destigmatizing sexual health and sexuality through a non-judgmental, empathic, and patient centered approach grounded in evidence-based research.
